​This section provides information on how to fulfill one of your Winter Assignment requirements for IB Lit.
Do not begin this assignment until you have completed reading the novel, 1984, by George Orwell. ​​I have sent  both a Word and a PDF version of the text to your email and posted them in the Google doc 1984 folder. Make sure you read these versions, so that in future discussion, our page numbers will be the same.   ​
You will write a 300 - 400 word interview (interrogation) based on the novel that must illustrate at least four of the following literary topics:

• Theme
• Impact of Setting (time, place, cultural and historical context)​
• Characterization​
• Paradox​
• Symbols​
• Conflicts (internal & external)
• Irony
• You must interview one of the characters in the book.

You may choose the focus for your interview and make up the answers, but the interview must reflect the character's psychological, intellectual, and emotional states in the novel and must address at least one specific event. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE FROM THE TEXT.
Make sure that the finished product is free of grammar and mechanical errors; otherwise, your grade will be greatly reduced.
